HE-consult-UK DISCUSSION FORUM ON YAHOO GROUPS
HE-consult-UK is a forum for UK home educators to discuss and debate matters of policy that are of interest to the community. Discussion takes place on a closed membership weblist which is open only to those home educating (Joining link below). The forum provides a moderated environment in which consensus views on government and local authority policies and procedures can be developed by the list members, and where home education groups and organisations can post draft consultation responses for comment.
The list is open to the whole UK home education community and is not restricted to any specific home education group or organisation. UK home educating parents can join, or other persons with a legitimate interest in home education policy, such as adults who were home educated, or other family members. The views of home educated children are particularly welcomed.
The list is NOT open to government and local authority officials, nor the press, researchers, teachers, lawyers, or others curious about our educational approach (except where such persons are eligible as above, e.g. home educating parents). Applications require moderator approval, but the moderators cannot guarantee the bona fide of list members.
